Nowcomm Invests Further £20,000 in Training and Development of Latest Cisco Technology.

Nowcomm the leading Cisco managed services and support provider, has heavily invested in the extended training of their support and project engineers. The latest round of skills training covers technologies from Cisco including the latest ground-breaking Cisco UCS B-series Blade Server technology, and in-depth skills development of Cisco’s Collaboration portfolio including Cisco Unified Communication Manager and Cisco Unified Contact Centre Express.

Extending our engineer’s expertise and skill set not only contributes to their individual professional development but is a clear differentiator in Nowcomm’s mission to be known by our customers for always delivering the industry’s premier level of service and support. This investment occurs at an exciting time at Nowcomm; as organisations of all sizes identify the need to realise the benefits of digital transformation, it is Nowcomm’s skills and services that can make this achievement happen.

James Baly, Director of Technology at Nowcomm stated: “The Cisco training content was tailored to Nowcomm’s specific requirements and business model. We devised course content that covered some highly technical and complex areas. This will enable our customers to avoid spending thousands training up their own staff through generic courses which may then only be used in small intervals across a working year.  Instead, our customers can save money through utilising the comprehensive skill set and expertise Nowcomm provide without compromising their network. Organisations that have deployed Cisco technology should seriously consider using Nowcomm as an extension of their existing team.’

Mark Lamont, Operations Director at Nowcomm weighed in on the substantial investment, ‘Training and developing our engineers is crucial to Nowcomm’s service strategy, and the value we deliver to our customers. Technology is ever-changing which means our customer’s needs are always changing too. Our objective is to be proactive to these developments and ensure our engineers are equipped with the knowledge to support our customers’ needs today and their plans for tomorrow.”

We are committed to enabling customer innovation, operational efficiency and improved business productivity. Our business has decades worth of experience in delivering, implementing and refreshing organisation’s network infrastructure whilst managing the risk and budget and ongoing management of these vital areas on behalf of our customers.

Mark concluded by adding, “The team are using the new skills and knowledge daily, both in our Customer Services Centre and across our consulting and professional services activities. We are already looking forward to and planning subsequent training programmes as part of our on-going and continuous development programme for our highly-qualified team of engineers.’
