Nowcomm co-host Middlesbrough Council™ Single Point Access Event

Nowcomm have been invited to co-host an ICT Seminar taking place at Middlesbrough Council on Tuesday 21st March 2017.

The event has been organised by the Authority to present and discuss the success of the recent Single Point Access project that was deployed across Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council, South Tees Hospitals NHS and Middlesbrough Council. Nowcomm worked closely with the above partners to design, build and implement the Single Point Access solution, as their preferred partner.

The event brings together councils, NHS bodies and police authorities from across the North East and Yorkshire region to understand the best practice innovations utilised to deliver the project. Nowcomm’s co-founder James Baly, and Senior Project Engineer Alex Gould will be presenting an overview of the solution, along with a later session that looks at other emerging technologies that may help deliver digital transformation within the public sector. Nowcomm, a Cisco Gold Partner and Cisco Master Collaboration partner, will be discussing how to drive further innovation from Cisco technologies that public-sector bodies have typically invested in for their ICT infrastructure.

The pioneering Single Point Access model delivered is expected to provide long-term cost savings through operational benefits to the authorities contact centres, whilst also better serving their local community by streamlining the way health and social care is allocated and delivered. This ultimately helps to relieve stress placed on existing stretched NHS resources.

James Baly said about the upcoming event, ‘We’re incredibly excited to be talking about how we designed and built the SPA solution for Middlesbrough Council, and how it’s changed the way multiple health and social care organisations across the region collaborate to build and deliver care aids to the local community. We’re really passionate about this project because it shows how much can be achieved when multiple organisations pull their resources and work together. We’re also looking forward to seeing the domino effect that follows as other parts of the UK start to adopt a similar approach, as per mandated by the Care Act (2014) for all local authorities. It would be great to see how the SPA model dramatically improves the health and social care landscape over the next few years on a national scale, and the impact it has to our National Health Service.

Nowcomm will be attending and speaking at similar seminars throughout the country about the appropriate Cisco technology used to deliver this project, to find out more about these and register your interest early, get in touch with us here.
