Nowcomm have successfully provisioned the deployment of a Cisco IP Telephony solution for three of the first Bradford pathfinder schools in the Government’s Building Schools for the Future Scheme. In the largest state funded project since the Second World War, Nowcomm were contracted to deploy a state of the art IP telephony system, capable of providing the platform for the growth of an additional 35 Schools in and around the Bradford area in the next ten years.
By centralizing the IPT solution within a Data Centre, Nowcomm have provisioned a telephony and voicemail platform that is both robust and scalable, built on highly resilient Cisco Unified Communications infrastructure. The architecture was designed to help reduce administration, maintenance and costs, whilst providing extensive functionality and a core platform for transforming the educational environment for Staff and Pupils alike.
Building on the successful deployment of Phase 1, Nowcomm are already involved heavily in planning and specification of both Phase 2 and Phase 3 projects; and the companies’ visionary approach to learning has been emulated in various nationwide educational deployments already this year.
